The James Carew Scholarship is given in memory of James Carew
This scholarship will provide students with special needs the opportunity to be included in the Spencer-Pierce Little Farmers Camp. The scholarship would provide an instructional assistant to attend the camp with the student. The scholarship would also pay the fee for the camp. The James Carew board will review applications for this unique opportunity and select the student and hire the IA for the week the student would attend. This unique experience would be a chance for a student, who normally would not be able to attend camp without the assistance of an instructional assistant, to have the opportunity to participate in camp with his/her peers.
Description of Little Farmers Camp:
This program immerses younger children in fun, farm-related activities. Little Farmers is a safe, stimulating daily adventure for youngsters in a beautiful farm setting. Each day, activities have different farm themes and include outdoor games, indoor crafts, and activities, and visits with farm animals.
