JAMES CAREW BOOK DRIVE

Each year we plan to have a “gently used” book drive in James’ memory during the week of his birthday, May 1st. We anticipate, as a result of this book drive, that donations will be given as a result of the book drive and the books accrued through this drive. A sticker with the www.jamescarewfoundation.org website and QR code will go on each book in the years to come. The books will be donated to various charities in Essex County.

JAMES CAREW LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

The Little Free Library in honor of James is located at the Parker Street Entrance to the Clipper City Rail Trail in Newbury, MA.

James’ grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins sponsored the Little Free Library along with a bench as a tribute to James’ love of reading.  James’ classmates from Newbury Elementary School also contributed with the planting of a cherry tree next to the bench with a plaque with the quote, “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever”. -Winnie the Pooh.

JAMES CAREW WALK

We intend to host a walk with family and friends around the anniversary of James’ passing on September 11. The walk will take place at the Little Free Library in James’ memory at the start of the Parker Street Rail Trail in Newbury, MA.
